Current Vacancies - Remediation Engineer - HBR

Location: Various
Division: HBR Limited

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

Applicants should have ideally 3 to 5 years industry experience (depending on ability) on a variety of contaminated land projects throughout the UK and will ideally have detailed knowledge and demonstrable understanding of the following disciplines:

Phase 1-3 investigation design and supervision

  • High quality report writing (Factual, Interpretative, Design)
  • DQRA and groundwater modelling
  • GIS (e.g. ArcGIS etc)
  • Remediation design, supervision, verification (close-out)
  • Project management, Client/Regulator liaison.

The candidate will preferably have a first degree in Chemistry, Geology, Environmental Science or closely related subject, with a MSc qualification in Hydrogeology, Geo-chemistry, Geo-environmental Engineering or similar as an additional pre-requisite. He/she will have or will be working towards chartered membership of a relevant institution.

He/she will be expected to work within a team environment, but have the confidence and knowledge to lead and instruct. Strong interpersonal skills, effective negotiation and an attention to detail are noted as key attributes to fully discharge this role.

The role will involve both office and site work where/when required. We have a number of offices throughout the UK, any of which could be their office base.
