Blackwell wins Tannery and Penpoll Remediation Contract

Blackwell are due to start on site, following the award of Sefton Council's, Tannery & Penpoll Land Remediation contract situated on Hawthorne Road, Bootle.

 

The former Tannery and Penpoll industrial site require the remediation of contaminated land to enable the future development of new housing and retail units for the area.

 

Works will include:

Breaking out and crushing of concrete slabs and bases

Excavation and remediation of made ground

Disposal of soils contaminated with Ammoniacal Nitrogen

Diposal of tin slag

Reprofiling of the site to form development platforms
