The company is registered with the British Safety Council and has gained fourteen top international safety awards including one for 2008. The safety system incorporates a detailed policy and procedures outlining all instructions for personnel. Blackwell is in the process of implementing the Incident and Injury Free (IIF) Programme promoting behavioural safety to assist the continuing improvement of our health and safety performance. The company's safety leadership team was formed to co-ordinate, review and champion the IIF process and focus on the integration of the IIF culture across all aspects of the business.
