Role
Provision of the commercial, contractual and financial management to ensure project profit and cash management targets are met on a wide variety of civil engineering, remediation, earthmoving and geotechnical contracts.

Provide contractual and commercial advice in connection with tender preparation
·
Check and advise on contract documentation
·
Prepare project financial forecasts
·
Advise on project commercial risks and cost management
·
Implement risk and value management systems and cost control procedures
·
Control and supervise admeasurement and maintenance of site records
·
Implement contractual notice and record systems
·
Identify change and implement change control procedures
·
Prepare contractual correspondence
·
Supervise and assist with valuation of variations
·
Prepare contractual submissions
·
Supervise preparation and submission of interim and final applications for payment
·
Manage preparation of Cash-Flow projections and Cost Value Reconciliation reports
·
Manage payment and debt recoveries
·
Implement supplier and subcontractor procurement procedures
·
Manage subcontractor accounts
·
Negotiate with clients’ representatives, sub-contractors, suppliers and third parties
·
Manage project insurance issues and claims
·
Implement staff assessments and recommend staff training programmes
·
Understand health and safety obligations and requirements
Key Attributes
·
Experience in the commercial management of civil engineering projects
·
Sound knowledge of contractual arrangements
·
General understanding of contract law
·
Demonstrates commercially awareness
·
Good administrative and financial skills
·
Computer literate
·
Good communication and client-facing skills
·
A good team player with the ability to work on his/her own initiative
