Blackwell are currently seeking to recruit an experienced groundworks and civil engineering Estimator/Planner. The ideal candidtate will have experience of tenders up to a value of £15M and a proven track record of success.
The ability to carry out the following, form an essential part of the job requirements:
- Produce estimates from first principles
- Taking off from drawings for preparation of Bill of Quantities for submission and also for Subcontract/Materials enquiries. An ability to undertaken 3D volumetric modelling would also be beneficial.
- Experience of various forms of contract and sub-contract, including the ability to understand the implications of changes to standard terms and conditions.
- Programming for tenders and reconciliation of resources with pricing levels. Please state which planning software packages you have experience of and to what ability.
- Preparation of risk schedules.
- Preparation of quality submission documents, including method statements and risk assessments.
